Over 200 miles of scenic shoreline offers boaters and other watercraft operators plenty of havens to explore. Several marinas and boat and jet ski rentals are available.

There is no need for the avid angler to hang up his favorite pastime during the winter months. Known as a four-season fishery, anglers flock to Anna’s amazing waters for lunker large mouth bass and more. Each season offers its own fishing adventures.

Rent one of 10 new cozy cabins. Enjoy hiking trails, a sandy beach, and 10 miles of shoreline on 2,300 pristine acres. Be sure to take advantage of seasonal interpretive programs and self-guided hikes.

Don’t miss a visit to Lake Anna Winery. The winery grew from lots of hard work by its local owner beginning in the early 1980s when he was inspired by traveling the French countryside and noting similarities in climate and soil.

Take a break from rustic with a romantic dinner cruise during your stay. The “City of Fredericksburg” is a paddle-wheel boat that glides gently through the Rappahannock River while a lunch and dinner buffet are served.

The state park has 11 trails for hiking totaling 15 miles. The trails range from easy to challenging and are lined with lush hardwoods and pine trees.

Virginia has some of the country’s finest golfing, so visitors that like golfing won’t be disappointed. Join in with the locals at nearby Meadows Farms Golf Course or Tanyard Country Club.

The visitor’s center traces the history of gold mining in the area. Drive to nearby Fredericksburg to tour the National Museum of the Pacific War.

Campers can also enjoy some vacation shopping. Visit Tim’s and Wake Edgers Gifts and Gear on The Boardwalk down the North Anna River. It is past the Christopher Run Campground.

This region of Virginia provides a rich source for antique shoppers. The town of Louisa, a 30-minute drive away is the home of fine antique shops. Drive a little further to Charlottesville and Fredericksburg for plenty of antiquing.
